RECOGNIZING THE ELFENBEIN FAMILY 
In 1952, Ossie & Sol Elfenbein moved to North Miami Beach and joined the Jewish Center of Monticello Park, where Ossie became a Kindergarten teacher in 1955 and continued in the Beth Torah Early Childhood for the next 40 years until her retirement in 1995.
 
Ossie & Sol raised two children, Lois & Robert, and shared all their life cycle events with their Beth Torah family. She enjoyed her years as an educator at Beth Torah with Rebecca Keshlansky, Principal and Dr. Abraham J. Gittelson. Education Director and their successors.
 
Ossie and Sol were blessed with 10 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren, their legacy, many who were born after Sol’s passing on Yom Kippur 1997.
 
ABOUT THE 80th ANNIVERSARY GENERATIONAL FAMILIES RECOGNITION
Each week one of our generational families will be recognized by our congregation blessed by the rabbis at both the “virtual” Friday evening and Shabbat morning services.
Over 50 families have been identified with 50 + years of membership at Beth Torah and another 25 families as their children, grandchildren and great grandchildren who are currently members of Beth Torah Benny Rok Campus.
