A Journey of Community and Connection
Beth Torah invites you to embark on an extraordinary, once-in-a-lifetime Torah-writing journey.
The Torah of October 8th, honoring the enduring resilience of the Jewish people worldwide.
This is a beautiful way to connect our people across the globe by creating a Torah that reflects our shared story and binds us as One Community, One Torah, One Heart.
Our Community’s DNA
The roots of our community trace back 85 years ago to those visionary individuals who laid the cornerstone of Beth Torah. Their enduring spirit thrives in every generation, infusing our lives with purpose and connection. Over the decades, our community has been beautifully enriched by the diversity of its members, each bringing unique traditions and stories from every corner of the world.
From the places where we grew up to the sacred space where we gather today, each location and moment weaves together the vibrant tapestry of our shared identity. As we honor this remarkable journey, we celebrate our cherished past and dynamic present and our unwavering commitment to shaping a bright and enduring future for the Jewish people.

Why October 8th?
The events of October 7th profoundly reshaped our community, creating a defining moment etched into our hearts forever. There is a distinct before and after, a turning point that binds us together in resilience and remembrance.
The Torah that we will write will serve as a powerful bridge, connecting each member of our community to the indomitable spirit of “the Jews of October 8th”. It will stand as a testament to our strength and perseverance, inspiring future generations to honor our legacy and carry forward the vibrant traditions of this beautiful community. Through this sacred act, we ensure that our story continues to shine brightly for years to come.
The Torah Journey
This project is starting in February 2025, with a Sofer (scribe) joining us at Beth Torah Benny Rok Campus for the kick-off.
As part of this sacred journey, the Torah will be written in various cities, including in Israel, symbolizing our connection to Jewish communities worldwide.
Our Sefer Torah will be completed by May 2026, followed by the Siyum (completion) ceremony
Connecting the Journey to our Shared History
Our Torah journey will mirror the biblical journey from Egypt to Israel—a narrative representing resilience, community, and an unwavering commitment to a promised future. Just as our ancestors journeyed to Israel, our Torah will cross borders, connecting our global community back to our shared spiritual home.
Ways to Contribute
This program offers various levels of contribution, allowing each community member to participate meaningfully:
The Five Books of the Torah
This highest level offers the unique privilege of welcoming the Sofer into your home, creating a deep and unforgettable experience for you, your family, and friends
Parshiyot (portions)
Honor your heritage by dedicating a meaningful section of the Torah, one that resonates deeply with you and your family’s story.
Pesukim (verses), Words, and Letters
These meaningful contributions allow each member to play a vital role in this historic journey, ensuring that our shared legacy is built together.
Our Shared Heart, One Home
This journey is about the physical Torah and uniting as a single home, regardless of where we live. As we bring this Torah back to Beth Torah, we reinforce our connection to one another and to the Jewish people worldwide, carrying forward our collective spirit, history, and hope.
In the aftermath of recent events, our resolve has only strengthened. We are committed to bringing our people home, to a shared home that transcends geography. Through One Torah, One Heart, we come together, building upon the legacy of our forebears, united as a community, connected by a single Torah, a single heart.
